3 Day Nurturing Program Facilitator Training
Become a trained facilitator of the Nurturing Program.
The three-day training will focus on understanding the philosophy of nurturing parenting, assessing high risk parenting beliefs and environments, creating competency based parenting lessons and programs tailored to meet the individual parenting needs of families, and implementing programs at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels of prevention.
Participants will experience a hands-on approach to implementing home-based, group-based and a combination home-based/group-based program model.
Participants will learn how to administer and score the online versions of the Adult-Adolescent Parenting Inventory (AAPI-2) and the Nurturing Skills Competency Scales (NSCS), and how to select the best Nurturing Program model for your agency.
Participants will also learn how to monitor the success of families through on-going process evaluation strategies designed to measure the attainment of parenting knowledge and skills.

3 Day It's All About Being A Teen/Parents of Adolescents Facilitator Training
The three-day training will focus on understanding the philosophy of nurturing parenting, assessing adolescent and adult understanding of adolescent development and needs, implementing competency based parenting and adolescents programs tailored to meet the individual needs of adolescents and their families and provide am in-depth look at adolescent development and programs designed for the adolescent and their family.
Participants will experience a hands-on approach to implementing It's All About Being a Teen and the Nurturing Program for Parents of Adolescents.
It’s All About Being A Teen
A dynamic interactive curriculum designed to increase positive self-worth, personal empowerment, self-discipline, empathy, healthy attachments, and resilient-protective behaviors. Developed from the Evidence Based Nurturing Programs, It’s All About Being a Teen is a 99 lesson, competency based curriculum that empowers professionals with the tools to help teens sort out and master the complexities and challenges of adolescence.
Parents of Adolescents
This program is designed to repair abusive parent-teen relationships. Parents and their teens attend separate groups concurrently, and then join as one group for 90 minutes. Parents and teens role-play, discuss, draw, and learn how to live with each other, learn how to play together, to communicate respectively, and to be a positive, nurturing family.
Participants will learn how to administer and score the online versions of the Parenting Attitudes about Raising Teens Inventory (PARTI). The PARTI is a norm- reference likert scale designed to assess the parenting beliefs and practices of raising adolescent’s ages 12 to 20 years of age.
Participants will also learn how to monitor the success of families through on-going process evaluation strategies designed to measure the attainment of parenting knowledge and skills.

Bringing The Protective Factors Framework To Life In Your Work
A training exploring the protective factors and how to utilize the protective factors in strengthening families. This training provides strategies and everyday actions to support professionals and other individuals working with children and families to help build and strengthen the protective factors in families to reduce the effects of adverse childhood experiences.
