The Family Nurturing Center of Colorado is dedicated to empowering families to grow and thrive in nurturing environments free from physical, verbal and emotional abuse and neglect. We work with children, families and the community in supporting the mission and goals of the Family Nurturing Center International Headquarters directed by Dr. Stephen Bavolek. The mission of the Family Nurturing Center is creating nurturing communities by promoting the philosophy of nurturing through parenting programs and information targeted to children, teenagers, adults, families, and the community at large. The Family Nurturing Center of Colorado is an affiliate of the Nurturing Parenting Programs™ developed by Dr. Stephen Bavolek and published by Family Development Resources.
Philosophy
Nurturing is the life force within all living creatures that promotes growth in self and others. It is the single most important process for life to flourish in a positive, healthy, caring manner. Among children, teenagers and adults, it is the natural ability to care for yourself as well as others in your environment. Although nurturing is a basic human instinct, the ability to nurture self, as well as others, can be reinforced or hindered.
